It’s finally Fall, and I’m full of relief that the hot, sweltering heat waves are giving way to cool, crisp days, gorgeous color in the trees and the comforting warmth of a freshly brewed coffee.
The changing season has also given me some creative refreshment that I am excited to share with all of our readers. I have created 3 new fall flavored SVG designs that will be perfect for decorating sweatshirts, tote bags or coffee mugs. Check them out!

Suggested supplies and tools for decorating shirts and fabric projects
- Blank T-Shirt, sweatshirt, hoodie, or tote
- Cricut Maker, Explore or other cutting machine
- Iron-On Vinyl (HTV)
- Weeding Tools (I prefer Tweezerman pointed tweezers)
- Cricut EasyPress and EasyPress Mat (or home iron, or other heat press)
- protective sheet (teflon or parchment paper)
Vinyl color palette ideas
I was inspired to choose a retro color palette with deep oranges and browns, offset with golden yellows and bright teal. I like this range of colors because I love the brightness of fall and I wanted to express the exuberance of the season.

You can get HTV matching these colors in Siser Easyweed. Here are my recommendations:
- Yellow: choose “Sun” or for a darker option, go with “Mustard“
- Orange: try regular “Orange” or for a lighter, brighter shade, try “Orange Soda“. For a darker orange/red/brown, try “Texas Orange“
- Red: for darker reds, try “Cardinal” or “Burgundy“
- Blues and teals: try “Turquoise“, “Sage” or “Retro Mint” for the lighter shades.
- Brown and Tan: opt for “Cream” or “Cashew” for lighter shades; try “Mocha” or “Chocolate” for darker brown shades
All of these colors are available through Happy Crafters in either 12 x 15″ sheets or 12″ rolls. I like Happy Crafters for small orders of heat transfer vinyl because they have a large selection of colors and styles. You can get a little or a lot, and they offer $10 flat shipping for orders under $100. (Orders over $100 ship free!)
(Canadians: there is a Happy Crafters for you, too!)
